After 16 years of dedicated service as an elected trustee on the Santa Clara County Board of Education, I marked my final board meeting on November 20. This announcement may be met with mixed reactions from voters in my trustee area, especially those who disagreed with my votes on charter school approvals.
As I reflect on my tenure, I remain committed to advocating for better educational opportunities for all students. Throughout my time on the board, I have championed various initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of education and ensuring that every child has access to the resources they need to succeed.
My experiences have reinforced the importance of collaboration among educators, parents, and the community to drive meaningful change in our schools. I hope my departure will inspire continued dialogue and action toward improving educational outcomes in Santa Clara County.
