CARBONDALE -- The Carbondale Chamber of Commerce Foundation is calling on music lovers and trivia buffs to support local students. The group will host its annual Music Trivia Fundraiser featuring Big Papa G on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Carbondale Civic Center.
The event is designed to be a fun night of friendly competition, with teams answering questions across various genres and decades. All proceeds will go toward programs that help make higher education more accessible for residents in the region. Organizers say the money will support scholarships and other resources that remove financial barriers for students pursuing college or trade school.
Big Papa G, a well-known local personality, will serve as the host and emcee for the evening. Participants can expect a mix of classic hits, deep cuts, and crowd favorites that will test even the most dedicated music fans.
Tickets are available in advance through the Chamber's office. The foundation encourages businesses and community groups to form teams and join the effort. Doors open at 6 p.m., with trivia starting at 7 p.m. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
This marks another year of the Chamber's commitment to investing in the community's future through education. Organizers hope to see a strong turnout to help more students reach their academic goals.
