Libby Ramirez, the university architect and executive director of Capital Planning and Resources, shares her journey and experiences at Oregon State University. Initially drawn to the university in 2013 through consulting work, she found herself commuting from Portland to Corvallis weekly. Her role involved space planning and project management, and as she spent more time on campus, her appreciation for the community and collaboration grew.
By July 2015, an opportunity arose for a permanent position at OSU, and she eagerly applied. Ramirez’s passion for the university’s mission and her dedication to enhancing the campus environment have been instrumental in her role. She emphasizes the importance of teamwork and innovation in her projects, aiming to create spaces that foster learning and collaboration.
