Community Conversations on Education Assessment and Accountability

Commissioner of Education Robbie Fletcher, alongside Jennifer Stafford, the division director for the Kentucky Department of Education’s Office of Assessment and Accountability, will be hosting a series of town hall meetings aimed at engaging the community in discussions about education assessment and accountability.

These gatherings are designed to foster open dialogue among educators, parents, and community members, providing a platform for sharing insights and feedback on current educational practices. Participants will have the opportunity to contribute their thoughts on how assessment methods can be improved to better serve students and enhance educational outcomes across Kentucky.

The town halls will focus on various topics, including the effectiveness of existing assessment tools, the role of accountability in education, and innovative strategies to support student learning. This initiative reflects a commitment to transparency and collaboration in the education system, ensuring that all voices are heard as Kentucky continues to evolve its approach to assessment and accountability in schools.
