Commonwealth U appoints director of the Zeigler Institute for Professional Development

Bloomsburg, Pa. - Commonwealth University has appointed Cait Finn as the new director of the Zeigler Institute for Professional Development, known as ZIPD. Finn steps into the role with a focus on expanding career growth opportunities for students and alumni across the university's three campuses.

Finn brings over a decade of experience in higher education administration and workforce development. Her previous work includes designing internship programs and building partnerships with regional employers. At ZIPD, she will oversee professional training workshops, credentialing programs, and career coaching services.

The institute serves as a bridge between academic learning and real-world job skills. Finn plans to launch new micro-credentialing options and strengthen ties with local industries to address workforce gaps. She also aims to increase access to professional development for nontraditional students and working adults.

University officials highlighted Finn's track record in creating inclusive programs that serve diverse student populations. In a statement, they expressed confidence that her leadership will help ZIPD become a central resource for career readiness in the region.

Finn holds a master's degree in organizational leadership and has previously directed career services at a mid-sized public university. She started her new role this month and will be based at the Bloomsburg campus.
