KINGSTON, R.I. – Oct. 20, 2025 – This fall marks a significant milestone for one of the state’s leading teacher professional learning programs as it celebrates 30 years of excellence in science education. The program has officially relocated from the University of Rhode Island’s Narragansett Bay Campus to its Kingston Campus, enhancing accessibility and resources for aspiring educators.
The move is part of an ongoing commitment to providing high-quality training and support for science teachers. The program has built a strong foundation over the past three decades, equipping educators with the skills necessary to inspire the next generation of scientists.
To commemorate this transition and the program's anniversary, an open house is scheduled for October 29. The event will showcase the program’s achievements and offer prospective students a glimpse into the innovative training methods employed. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet faculty, explore the new facilities, and learn about the various resources available to support their educational journey.
