Be Part of the Dialogue: AAPI Education Symposium Aug. 14

The symposium will tackle several pressing topics. One session focuses on youth violence prevention, looking at root causes and strategies that schools and community groups can use to keep kids safe. Another panel covers the experiences of multilingual learners, including recent policy updates that affect how schools support students who are still learning English. A third discussion digs into the use of student data, examining how schools collect it, who has access, and how it can either help or harm students from AAPI backgrounds.
Organizers say the goal is not just to talk but to create a space where people with different perspectives can share what they have seen and learned. The hope is that attendees leave with concrete ideas they can take back to their own schools and neighborhoods. Registration is open now, and the event is free to attend.
